Chaddius Maximus is a 2D pixel art metroidvania.
Chad must find and defeat the villian responsible for spreading a disease that has destroyed the lands of kingdoms .
Chad is armed with a spear that can be used for combat (melee & ranged) as well as platforming.
He can also chuck his spear not just at enemies but as well into walls to create a platform to jump on.

Gameplay - Concept Design
I wanted to create a mechanic that can be used for multiple purposes.
The spear can be used to attack (melee) and can be chucked towards enemies from a distance (range) but also can stick to a wall, thus creating a platform for the player to jump on.
The spear chuck mechanic is also designed to solve puzzles in order to create a variation in gameplay all using the same mechanic.
AI Design - Playtesting

I designed the movement and attack behaviour of the enemies.
I also worked with the artists to create some of the enemies' art design (4/6 of all enemies).
I also worked with other designers in order to balance the behaviour and metrics of all AI.
I worked with other designers in playtesting the game and reporting bugs.
